Mount Penn is a small close-in borough climbing the western slope of Mount Penn itself, the mountain best known for the red Reading Pagoda looking down over the city. Streets here are steep and older, lined with brick and frame rowhomes and twins built into the hillside, which means renovation and cleanout jobs often come with real driveway grade and access considerations that flatter parts of the county don't have.
