CDO Dumpster Rental Reading is a locally operated dumpster rental company based at 1185 Morgantown Rd in Reading. We exist because too many people across Berks County have had the same frustrating experience with a hauler: a renovation stalls for two days waiting on a container, a quote given over email turns into a different number once the invoice lands, or nobody calls back at all.
We run this business the way it should be run: pick up the phone, tell the truth about the price, protect the property, and turn up when we say we will. It is not complicated, it just takes doing it consistently.
What we look like today
We run a small fleet of trucks out of the yard on 1185 Morgantown Rd, keep 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard containers on the ground, and cover Reading and the towns spreading out across Berks County — from Wyomissing and Sinking Spring to Boyertown and Kutztown.
Every driver who works here knows this area's housing stock — the dense brick rowhomes and hillside streets climbing toward Mount Penn and Neversink Mountain in the city itself, the older stone farmhouses out in the county, and the newer subdivisions filling in around Wyomissing and Sinking Spring. They know a container set eight inches too far forward means you cannot get the truck out of the drive, and they know what a Berks County winter does to a driveway or a soft shoulder after a freeze-thaw week.

Why we care about where it ends up
Hauling waste for a living gives you a fairly direct relationship with the consequences. We live here. So we take Pennsylvania's waste rules seriously rather than treating them as paperwork, we sort out clean wood, metal, cardboard and clean concrete where the volume justifies it, and we would rather spend five minutes on the phone telling you where an old appliance should go than quietly bury it.

Is CDO actually based in Reading?
Yes. Our yard and containers are at 1185 Morgantown Rd, Reading, PA 19607, and the trucks go out from there every morning. We are not a national booking site reselling your job to whichever hauler bids lowest — when you call (484) 334-4904 you reach the people who run the trucks.
How long have you been in business?

Are you licensed and insured?
Fully licensed to haul in Pennsylvania and carrying general liability and auto coverage appropriate to commercial hauling. We are happy to send a certificate of insurance to general contractors, property managers and municipalities before a job starts — just ask when you book. It is a routine request for us, and we can usually turn it around the same day so it does not hold up your project schedule.
Do you work with contractors on ongoing jobs?
Constantly. Roofers, remodellers, restoration companies and property managers make up a large share of our week. We run standing swap-out schedules, priority call windows during peak season, consolidated monthly invoicing and negotiated rates on volume. Call and ask for the commercial side, and we will set up an account that fits how your crews actually schedule work.
What happens to the material after pickup?
It is weighed, then sorted where the load makes sorting worthwhile — clean wood, scrap metal, cardboard and clean concrete get diverted rather than landfilled. Everything else goes to a permitted disposal facility. Materials restricted from ordinary Pennsylvania landfill disposal are separated out and routed to the right facility.
